Location:
All sessions take place in the location of your choice. The location can be your living room, the baby's nursery, the beach, a park, a field, the woods, your own backyard, the local downtown area or a favorite family spot. Some locations may require an additional fee.
When:
Snaps° schedules sessions any day of the week depending on availability. Please call at least a month in advance for the best availability.
The best time of day for outdoor location shoots is in the early morning or late afternoon for beautiful lighting. If possible, within two hours of sunrise or sunset. Please take into consideration your child's naptime and eating schedule. Ultimately, the best time of day is when your child is happy, healthy and well rested!
Length:
Sessions are never rushed. They usually last approximately one hour, but can go longer or shorter depending on the children. They usually let me know when we are done.
What to Wear:
I have two theories on this matter. First theory - keep it simple, but not too simple. Dress everyone in the same color with varying hues and textures, but give everyone their own little flare! Think same color palette, but throwing in polka dots or stripes or a funky headband. Second theory - go crazy (especially with the kids)! Let your children's personality shine. If that means a tutu and rain boots, then so be it! Don't shy away from colors and patterns. Let the stylists at your favorite store do the work for you!
Above all, remember, the best photos are taken when the subjects are comfortable, with their surroundings, their outfits and themselves.
